Let's look at some problems that students often make in their writing.

1.FOR + VERB.  It is not possible.  

 

Let's look at an example:  I traveled  to the United States for study English at Georgia Tech.

How do you correct it?  Delete for and add to.  Change for study and make it to study.

Correct sentence: I traveled  to the United States to study English at Georgia Tech.

2.WANT VERB.

Here are 2 examples that are wrong.  

I want study a master's degree.

The last Sunday I wanted prepare a jello

How do you correct it?  Use want + to verb

3.FOR EXAMPLE 

You need For example, Subject

Let's look at an example that is wrong: 

For example like to go to the park and practice different activities.

How do you correct it?  Add a comma + subject.

Here is the correct sentence: 

For example, I like to go to the park and practice different activities.
