Independent Writing: Step 5

We're almost there. Hang in there. Step 5 is about grammar and editing the grammar of your writing. So what do you need to edit for?

1.You need to avoid big errors. You can do that by following the previous 4 steps. They are designed to lessen major errors. Then you can do a sample writing. After that writing, I can check your grammar to see what your major errors are and teach you how to fix them and fix them quickly.

In a later post, I will give a list of major errors that students tend to make and how to fix them.

2.You can add sophisticated structures. You won't have much time to do it. You might only have 5 seconds. So how can you do it?

* Move a transition.

* Reduce a clause. It can be an adverb or adjective clause.

To see how to do this, you can go to the advanced level on this site and look at the posts on adding sophisticated grammatical structures to your writing.

In a later post, I will show you how to do these with some samples.
